Are you planning to travel with your cat to a show or on holiday? Some hotels have partnerships with the Cat Association SVERAK. If you are a member of one of Sweden’s cat clubs and are attending or visiting a cat show, read the information sheet or invitation for the event – or contact the organising cat club – for information on current discount codes and benefits. For travel abroad, contact the relevant cat club affiliated with the local cat association.
Tips for Booking a Hotel with Your Cat
Keep the following in mind when booking a pet-friendly hotel:
- Always confirm with the hotel that pet-friendly rooms are available at the time of your booking.
- Call ahead to double-check that the hotel accepts cats – the term “pet-friendly” sometimes refers only to dogs.
- Check any restrictions regarding the type, size or number of animals.
- Be prepared for extra charges for pets or cleaning.
- Pack everything you need in your carry-on luggage (bowls, litter box, sand, food, etc.) for at least a couple of days, in case your checked baggage is delayed.
